چکیده

Rev. Roum. Chim. (submitted). Abstract Similarity of two sets of cycle-containing molecular graphs: spiro-alkanes and full Hamiltonian detour cubic cages, is discussed in terms of interand intra-molecular similarity. Molecular description is given as sequences of some well known topological sequences: Distance Degree Sequence DDS, Detour Degree Sequence ∆DS, All Path Sequence APS, Shortest Path Sequence SPS, Longest Path Sequence LPS, Terminal Paths Sequence TPS and Cycle Sequence, CyS and topological indices as well. The discussed structures show degenerate above sequences. Most of the topological indices constructed on these graphs are degenerated. These indicate the considered graphs are highly related. Similarity measure is achieved on the above sequences. Some nice degenerate rearrangements of selected structures are also illustrated.

Designing Of Degenerate Primers-Based Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) For Amplification Of WD40 Repeat-Containing Proteins Using Local Allignment Search Method

Degenerate primers-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) are commonly used for isolation of unidentified gene sequences in related organisms. For designing the degenerate primers, we propose the use of local alignment search method for searching the conserved regions long enough to design an acceptable primer pair. To test this method, a WD40 repeat-containing domain protein from Beauveria bass...

A computational method to analyze the similarity of biological sequences under uncertainty

In this paper, we propose a new method to analyze the difference and similarity of biological sequences, based on the fuzzy sets theory. Considering the sequence order and some chemical and structural properties, we present a computational method to cluster the biological sequences. By some examples, we show that the new method is relatively easy and we are able to compare the sequences of arbi...

Identification and characterization of a NBS–LRR class resistance gene analog in Pistacia atlantica subsp. Kurdica

P. atlantica subsp. Kurdica, with the local name of Baneh, is a wild medicinal plant which grows in Kurdistan, Iran.  The identification of resistance gene analogs holds great promise for the development of resistant cultivars. A PCR approach with degenerate primers designed according to conserved NBS-LRR (nucleotide binding site-leucine rich repeat) regions of known disease-resistance (R) gene...

On Integer Sequences Associated With the Cyclic and Complete Graphs

We study integer sequences associated with the cyclic graph Cr and the complete graph Kr. Fourier techniques are used to characterize the sequences that count walks of length n on both these families of graphs. In the case of the cyclic graph, we show that these sequences are associated with an induced colouring of Pascal’s triangle. This extends previous results concerning the Jacobsthal numbers.
